HS4 SU carburetors were fitted to early MGBs. The photograph shows a set from a 1970 car. The jets are exposed beneath the carburetor body and float chambers are mounted to the side of the carburetor. The heatshield in the background is necessary to prevent fuel vaporisation as the carburetors are mounted just above the exhaust manifold. |
