Cold air vents in the dashboard were introduced at some point between 1970 and 1976. They are very effective and I have fitted some to my 1970 car. The vents themselves fit neatly into the hole for the radio, and I cut a pair of holes into the bulkhead into the chamber underneath the air intake grille behind the bonnet.
